Chairman of the Forum Awwal Aliyu, said this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Monday in Kaduna.
Aliyu said that the forum, which has 30 governorship candidates and 49 political party chairmen pledged to support the incoming administration of El-Rufa’i.
‘’This is to ensure that the vote and support of the good people of Kaduna is not truncated by anyone or group of few selfish people.
‘’It is against this background that the forum thus advises those trying to make up fictitious figures of support from political parties and non existing candidates to hold their peace and come to reality of God’s making.
‘’Following the successes recorded by the people of Kaduna state including domestic and foreign observers concerning the governorship and House of Assembly elections, we once again want to reiterate on the free, fair, transparent and credible nature of the election.
“The collective will of the good people of the state was expressed without cognisance of our differences of any sort which transcend to the peace that we enjoy today even to the aftermath of the elections.
“This to us is an indication that democracy has not only come to stay in the state, but in our country Nigeria at large,” he said.
The Chairman also congratulated all the winners of the elections and advised the people to perceive the entire elections as a win-win situation to everyone that contested the election from whichever platform.
“While to those that were victorious, we desire and advise them to be magnanimous in victory knowing fully that it is God that gives power to who soever He wishes.
“We also congratulate Gov. El-Rufai for inviting all to jointly work with him towards salvaging Kaduna in his acceptance speech.”
