But conspiracy theorists are convinced the Hit Em Up star survived the shooting, pointing to supposed “sightings” of the rapper since his death.
And a fresh photo has now emerged to add further wood to the truly bizarre conspiracy fire.
The man is seen wearing a hat, lilac shirt and trousers as he perches at the side of a road.
“Look closely at Tupac’s arms – you can see the outline of tattoos on his left arm,” the narrator says.
It is not clear at all in the blurry image of any tattoos, but Wired Up TV claims there is a reason for that.
“The reason you can’t see the tattoos clearly is because he’s covering them up when he goes outside,” he explains.
“He’s not trying to be recognised, he’s not trying to be known.

“This is 100% Tupac Shakur.
“Look at his eyes, look at his face – what more proof do you want?”
The YouTube channel offers no details of where or when the photo was taken – apart from it being taken after his death.

“I just had a close-up of that picture – same nose, same ears,” one wrote.“It's definitely Tupac, he looks tired he looks the same but aged.”
Another said: “Whoah, I see the resemblance.”
But others were more sceptical, with some saying they had seen the photo before.
“It may have been from a movie,” a third wrote.
A fourth agreed, adding: “That looks photoshopped.”
It isn’t just conspiracy theorists who believe Tupac may be alive.
Suge Knight Jr – whose dad was in the car with the rapper when he was shot – posted a series of Instagram posts last year in what he claimed was proof of the conspiracy.
Tupac isn't the only legendary artist to have been the subject of wild conspiracy theorists since his death.
Conspiracists often claim that Elvis Presley – who died of a heart attack in 1977 – is still alive.
They point to supposed "sightings" of The King, as well as a "mistake" on his gravestone as some of the evidence to back up their wild claims.
