A 29-year-old man was arrested on Saturday, 29 June on suspicion of murder. He was taken to a south London police station where he remains at this time.
A 37-year-old male arrested that same day has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Police were called by London Ambulance Service [LAS] at 03:30hrs on Saturday, 29 June to reports of a woman in cardiac arrest inside an address at Raymead Ave, Thornton Heath.
Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service [LAS] and found 26-year-old Kelly, who was eight months pregnant, suffering from stab injuries. Despite the efforts of paramedics, she sadly died at the scene.
Her baby was delivered by LAS at the scene before being taken to hospital. The child (we are not confirming gender at this stage) remains there in a critical condition.
Next of kin have been informed. Although we await formal identification police can confirm that the deceased is Kelly Mary Fauvrelle.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
At this early stage officers retain an open mind as to motive.
The Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating, led by Detective Chief Inspector Mick Norman.
