As we commemorate this Year’s Armed Forces Day, we must remind you of the auspiciousness of the Year 2023, and urge you to continue and perhaps improve on all you do for our nation. This is an election year, it is one that has the security of lives and property as well as the internal and external territorial integrity of the nation at the front burner. We must state without equivocation that we are not unaware of the monstrous sacrifice of the men and women of the Armed Forces who brave harm that we may breath safety. We salute you.
The OBI-DATTI PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN is enamored with the resolve of the Armed Forces to not only protect our territorial integrity and assist internal peacekeeping programmatic, we are full of praises for how you have done so much at great human and material cost. We salute you.
In line with the Manifesto of the OBI-DATTI Campaign and indeed the Labour Party, we promise you a better condition of service should Peter Gregory Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed emerge victorious in the Presidential election. Peter Obi has a mission and a vision to turn the Armed Forces around for greater efficiency and effectiveness. At the core of this vision is the provision of better welfare and improved condition of service for the men and the women of the Armed Forces.
The incoming Peter Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed administration God willing shall not only prioritize the welfare of the Armed Forces, but shall improve on the Training, Re-training and the Technological know-how of the men and women of the Armed Forces. Peter Obi believes that improved technological advancement and innovation is sine qua non to effective defense. With Peter Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed in the leadership saddle you can bet on the glowing future of the Nigerian Military.
Our manifesto also touches on recruitment and expansion as well as the equipping of the Armed Forces with latest weaponry and gadgets fit for 21st century realities. Indeed there is great hope in the horizon for the Armed Forces and every relevant sector of our national life. With OBI-DATTI it will be business unusual.
We salute the great men and women of the Armed Forces still in service. We commemorate those who are in retirement. We remember with immense gratitude those who died that we may live. And we are unanimous in the resolve that your labour will not be in vain.
