Real Madrid could be without their star midfielder Jude Bellingham for the Madrid derby on Sunday, as he missed training on Friday due to stomach issues. The Englishman is the club's leading scorer this season and has been a key player for Carlo Ancelotti since joining from Borussia Dortmund.
Bellingham was feeling fine on Thursday, after scoring the late winner against Union Berlin in the Champions League on Wednesday night. However, he felt sick on Friday morning and had to skip the training session that began in the gym and then moved to the pitch.
Bellingham has a good injury record and rarely misses games. In his three seasons with Dortmund, he only sat out four matches. One of them was the last game of the season, which cost Dortmund the Bundesliga title.
Real Madrid's medical staff are hopeful that Bellingham will recover in time for the Madrid derby, which is a crucial game for both teams. Real Madrid are currently top of La Liga, while Atletico are 6.
