Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Sporting Lagos is set to reignite the passion and exciting moments of topflight football to Lagos fans.
The Noisy Lagosians will be making their NPFL debut against Gombe United on Monday, October third at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
It will be a delightful moment for the lovers of Nigeria football league in Lagos who will be witnessing topflight football after the relegation of MFM FC in 2022.
Sporting Lagos established in February 2022 by Shola Akinlade have grown to be a household club in Lagos whereby attracting the working class, middle class and low income earners to be accustomed with football in Lagos and this is evident on the Naija Super 8 Preseason tournament held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan which attracted monstrous number of fans.
The Noisy Lagosians almost got relegated during their debut season in the NNL as they escaped relegation by goal difference.
Learning from their past mistakes, Sporting Lagos geared up and performed well in the following season as they sealed promotion to the NPFL at the NNL Super 8 in Asaba.
The Paul Offor tutored side boast of an array of talented players which is a combination of the experience and youngsters to pursue their dream in the league.
Stationery Stores, Julius Berger and MFM FC are Lagos clubs that have played in the NPFL before going into extinction.
