The Vice-Chancellor of Sam Maris University (SMU), Supare-Akoko, Prof. Francis Gbore has described the tuition fees of the Institution as ‘rock-bottom’ compared to fees chargeable in sister private universities in Nigeria.
The Don made the statement in an interview with newsmen on Thursday.
Prof. Gbore explained that despite provision of first-class facilities for students in the University, the tuition fee with the ancillary charges is pegged at N350,000.00, stressing that the amount can be paid in two installments on semester basis while accommodation is optional.
According to him, “At Sam Maris University, located at Km 2, Etioro-Afaa Road, Supare-Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area, and renowned as the first private university in the region, we take pride in offering the most competitive and affordable tuition fees amongst sister private universities in the South West Nigeria. With a modest fee of N350,000.00 generously subsidized by the Proprietor of the institution in the interest of low income earners, students can conveniently manage their payments through installment options.
