A Word of Prayer for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Church this Today
Nigeria may have beaten the Ivorians in the Group stage, it will be a different ball game today's final. It will not be easy to go against a host nation like Ivory Coast in a tournament like Africa cup of nations.
The Elephants have gotten to this stage by shear providence, qualifying as one of the best third place team on the last day of the Group stage.
They sacked their coach and an interim coach brought them this far to the final. That means the Ivoireans and their team are very more prepared than when they started at first.
Nigeria will be up against the 12th man, the 13th man, the 14th man and most probably, the 15th man on the pitch. And I will identify them here.
The 12th man is the referee and the VAR, can change the process and fortune of the game in a twinkle of an eye. Super Eagles should as much as possible avoid infringement at their eighteen yard box, to avoid sudden penalty. This is the reason we should pray for them.
The 13th man is the fans and the various intimidation strategy they will be employing off the pitch and on the stands. Goalkeeper and strikers should be ready for things like flashlights to blind players at crucial moments. This is the reason we should pray for them.
The 14th man is actually unseen spiritual powers interplaying to force the game in the favour of the Ivorians. African football at this stage are usually not devoid of Juju (African magic). This is the reason we should pray for the Super Eagles to overcome all negative spiritual powers.
The 15th man is boardroom politics, pressure from various officials, sponsors and even the government of Ivory coast to sway the game in their favour. This things do happen, that's why we must pray for the Super Eagles and Nigerian government officials in Ivory coast "no gree for them o! "
Three factors will work in favour of the Nigerian side:
First, Ivory Coast are already afraid of Nigeria and psychological they believe on the back of their mind that they will loose the game again.
Secondly, a lot of pressure is on the Ivorian team to deliver, that will cause a lot of mistakes, distraction and easy frustration in the match today.
Third, the Nigerian team spirit is so high and they are now operating at the level of invincibility and superhuman operations. The whole realms are now responding to the team. There's no way Super Eagles will not win the match today.
