As the All Progressive Congress prepares and count down to her party primary to pick the candidate that will fly the banner of the party in the November Gubernatorial election in Ondo State, ASIWAJU MANDATE GROUP, a foremost social political group in the state with the core mandate of propagating good governance and the actualisation of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President, ASIWAJU Hammed Tinubu's led administration and his political estate, has called on all card carrying members of APC that will be voting in the primary election to put the interest and the success of the party on the front burner ahead of personal gains and gratifications knowing very well that the choice of the best candidate will guarantee easy success in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
In a statement signed by the Director General of AMG, Evang. Olumuyiwa Asagunla and made available to newsmen in Akure, the group remains neutral in the choice of candidate in the primary election believing that all the aspirants has capacity to lead the state and are no newbies in governance and administration.
" We belief in the sanctity of the party's Supremacy and in the spirit of fairness and equity in tandem with the vision of the Visioneer of the group, OLUBUNMI TUNJI OJO, the Minister of Interior, the group will not be endorsing any of the aspirants for the primary election. Members of AMG that will be voting in the primary election are to make capacity and acceptability their watchword in the choice of aspirant to vote for knowing fully well that a good choice of the party's Candidate will guarantee an easy victory for the party in the general election.
We charge all the aspirants to remember that the party is larger than any one of them and as such should go into the primary election as brothers from one home knowing that there can't be two candidates at the end of the contest and as such, when a winner emerges, all other equally victorious candidates should in the spirit of sportsmanship work with the candidate so that the party will be victorious in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
We assure that we are daily mobilizing and expanding our frontiers through membership drive across the wards and local governments in the state with a view to generating goodwill for the party towards victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election and as such will give all the needed support to whoever emerges as the candidate of the party, the statement reads in part.
