The Deputy Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abayomi Akinruntan has congratulated winner of the party's Ondo State Governorship primary election, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa after polling the highest number of votes of 48, 569 amongst other Aspirants.
Gov. Aiyedatiwa was declared the winner of Saturday election by the Governorship Primary Election Committee under the chairmanship of His Excellency, Governor Usman Ododo, the Governor of Kogi State.
Akinruntan who represents the gov constituency (ilaje constituency 1) noted that, Gov. Aiyedatiwa’s victory by the progressives members of Ondo State is an affirmation of his sterling leadership qualities, confirmation of outstanding performance and committed delivery of dividends of democracy.
Akinruntan hailed the National leadership of the party, APC led by Alhaji Umar Abdullahi Ganduje for ensuring a credible primary. Deputy Speaker Akinruntan implored all progressives Aspirants who threw their hats into the family-like contest in exercising their constitutional right on the need for a united front.
In his words, you've all done well. However, "in every contest, there must be a winner",Akinruntan urged all Aspirants to bury their hatchet and work on a united front in the interest of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
