The Ondo State Forum of Permanent Secretaries has attributed the landslide victory recorded by Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State in the-just concluded governorship election to a testament of his sterling performance in office in the last 10 months.
Aiyedatiwa, the incumbent governor of the state, secured victory in all 18 local government areas of the state, garnering 366,781 votes to defeat his closest rival, Mr Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 117,845 votes
The Chairman of the forum, Chief Bunmi Alade and his secretary, Prophet Jide Ekpobomini, in a statement in Akure on Friday said that the victory of the governor was made manifest by his quality stewardship.
The statement, which extended heartfelt congratulations to the governor and his deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami on the well-deserved victory, said that the governor had a well-established antecedent that paved way for him.
It added that the victory was an affirmation of the governor sterling leadership qualities, confirmation of his outstanding performance, and delivery on the dividends of democracy to people of the state.
"Your success at polls is also a clear attestation that your administration’s policies and programmes, and campaign message of hope have resonated deeply with the electorate.
“Your commitment to the security of lives and properties is unparalleled.
"We are confident that you will build upon your accomplishments and take Ondo State to greater heights in the area of social, infrastructural, environmental, and economic development for the benefit of the good people of Ondo State,” the statement stated.
The statement, therefore, quoted the forum praying God to continue to grant the governor more strength, wisdom, and enablement to enable him to completely transform the state to become a reference point among the comity of states in Nigeria.
