DIG Sadiq Abubakar Visits NPF-NCCC, Emphasizes Discipline and Professionalism
The Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), DIG Sadiq I. Abubakar, has reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to discipline, professionalism, and ethical standards during his visit to the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) in Abuja.
In a statement released by the Force CID Public Relations Officer, SP Funmilayo Eguaoje, the visit was described as part of efforts to strengthen the operational effectiveness of the specialized cybercrime unit.
Upon arrival, DIG Abubakar was warmly received by the Director of NPF-NCCC, CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry, and his management team. Addressing the personnel, he emphasized the critical role of discipline and professionalism in policing, noting that these values form the foundation of the Nigeria Police Force.
“The FCID remains the premier investigative arm of the Nigeria Police Force, tasked with handling complex criminal cases both within and outside the country,” the statement read.
DIG Abubakar’s visit, according to the statement, highlights the police force’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the capabilities of its specialized units, ensuring they are adequately equipped to combat both conventional and emerging threats in the digital space.
