LAGOS – The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku has been conferred with the 2024 Sun Awards, as the (Public Service Award) for his contributions in the repositioning of the interventionist and implementing of policies and project that has improved the well being of the people of the region.
Presenting the award to the NDDC MD/CEO during the the Sun 2024 Awards held at Eko Hotel and Suites Victoria Island Lagos State, Mr Bianca Ojukwu, the Minister of State, Foreign Affairs, commended the leader qualities of of Dr Ogbuku and urged to him to more for the people of the region has his good will always speak for him.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku expressed his joy over the Award and restated his commitment to sustain the tempo of brining development to the region.
According to him the the award is a clear recognition of the changes that is going on the commission which is indicative that their work is appreciated by the people.
He said the award is very important to the organization.
In His Remarks, the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress Party, Alhaji Ganduje Abdullah commended the effort of the NDDC Chairman so far in the country, to transform the face of our community without waiting for applause.
Saying this is a better way to go in the society, and to be emulated by all those concerned.
