The five governors of the South-East states, including Alex Otti (Abia), Chukwuma Soludo (Anambra), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Peter Mbah (Enugu), and Hope Uzodimma (Imo), are among the dignitaries expected at the South-East Development Commission (SEDC) grand reception in honour of its pioneer board and management, at the Oranto International Airport Hotel, Enugu, today.
Former Abia State governor and Chairman, Senate Committee on SEDC, Orji Uzor Kalu; billionaire businessman, Chief Arthur Eze, and the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, are also expected at the event.
Representatives from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), the Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Anita, and the Clerk of the Senate, Andrew Ogbonnia Nwoba will also grace the occasion.
The chairmen of the traditional rulers councils from Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo and Anambra states will be at the event, as well as the vice chancellors of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Professor Oguejiofor Ujam and the Federal University of Technology, Owerri Professor Nnenna Otti. The CEO of the Innoson Group, Chief Innocent Chukwuma will lead the business community to the event. The Bishop of Nike Diocese, Anglican Communion, and other clergymen, will also be there.
The reception will also bring together members of the Senate and House of Representatives Committees on SEDC, as well as the South-East state chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
