In further demonstration of its commitment to uplifting the wellbeing of his host communities, TANTITA Security Services Limited (TSSL) yesterday commissioned a standard as Sologha Ekpemupolo Joint Admission and Matriculation (JAMB) CBT Centre worth millions of naira at Ogulagha Community, Burutu Local Government, Delta State.
The CBT centre equipped with 250 sets of computers with Elon Musk internet facilities, toilet and solar inverter systems was part of the security outfit commitment to reducing the stress students go through yearly in riverine communities when writing exams to seek admission into tertiary institutions.
Managing Director, Chief Kestin Pondi, said TANTITA member representing the people of Burutu Federal Constituency, Julius Pondi, helped to ensure the facility became a reality. He was represented by the Admin Manager, Daisy Jaja: “The facility has solar panels to ensure regular power supply even when the area would experience cut-off from regular electricity. We don’t have any electrical issues, a toilet for easy convenience and a very conducive area, AC and everything.
“This project is your project, especially for the youths and the children and coming out of secondary schools. Education does not have an age limit, so even the elderly ones can still want to go back to school and use the facilities.”
He urged youths, children, parents, and teachers, to make sure the place stands the test of time: “The name of the place is Sologha CBT JAMB Center. It’s a standing legacy for her memory. As we are all family members, I pray that we take our time, our efforts to make sure that this place stands the test of time, so that generations that are not even here can use it and hear the story about the woman that the place was named after, because I know that she was a great woman as well.
“We’re here to commission and to say thank you for also making sure that his vision for education needs on in all the communities of Nininja Delta.”
Operations Manager of the centre, Victor Isereke, said: “JAMB is such that because they approve your centre this year does not mean that you are approved for life. Every year they will come back for application. You start it all afresh, so that if you don’t meet the standard, they will knock you out. Every year they come to repeat the process.
“So ast year, again, we approached them because all the systems were broken down because it is where every one wants to write exams. Pondi in his wisdom spent millions and we don’t make money.
“You don’t make money from JAMB in a centre like this is where people write exam. They pay you N700 per person, not much. It is just for our people.
“It is helping the community, we don’t make much money. Pondi does everything year in and year out to ensure that this place remains operational. The centre has been operational since it started till date. So last year, having discovered that many of our equipment have already started failing we needed a toilet facility.
“The roof started leaking, the place was becoming an eyesore. We approached Honourable Pondi again He approached TANTITA as part of CSR. We know TANTITA as a company that prioritises CSR, they don’t play with CSR. It’s over the place, helping people, helping organisations and helping communities.
“Let’s also key into this wonderful things. We approach them and the MD graciously approved that this place be upgraded. They have renovated the whole place completely repainted it. All the computer systems were replaced. There are 250 brand new computer systems. They bought all laptops.
“You can see the old ones here, some of the old ones, some are some of the laptops are in the house, but some are here. Then they built that facility. They also provided Internet services. Elon Musk Internet services, Starlink Internet services for us not to depend on T cell, for us not to depend on the alternate, the generator for power. They also provided us with inverter, solar inverter system.

Senior Legislative Aide to the member representing Burutu Federal Constituency, Tonkiri Apu, commended TANTITA for providing the CBT Centre to Ogulagha community. He also appealed to the people to protect the facilities against vandals and thieves so that the children can continue to benefit educationally and otherwise.
Students from Word of Faith Group of Schools, Ogulagha and Basic Principle Dominion School, Ogulagha, were also in attendance. Divine Talented Dancers, Ogulagha, thrilled guests with traditional songs and dances.
