Glo Boosts Presence in Oyo, Unveils New Retail Outlet in Ogbomoso
In a strategic move to enhance customer service and bring its offerings closer to subscribers, leading telecommunications and digital services provider, Globacom, on Tuesday commissioned a new retail and customer care shop in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The new outlet, according to Mr. Ikechukwu Onuekwusi, Globacom’s Retail Sales Chief for Oyo Division, aligns with the company’s commitment to expanding its service channels and improving customer access to its wide range of products and services.
“As you are aware, our approach to customer service is underpinned by innovation and total inclusiveness. This is why we are consistently seeking innovative channels to make our array of services available to them,” he stated at the inauguration ceremony.
Mr. Onuekwusi revealed that the newly opened facility is fully equipped to offer a variety of devices, including premium and affordable smartphones and accessories. It will also provide essential customer services such as SIM registration and replacement, recovery of over-scratched recharge cards, phone unblocking, internet configuration for laptops, and more.
He added that the shop is staffed with courteous, well-trained personnel who are ready to deliver exceptional service and ensure swift resolution of customer inquiries and complaints.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Ogbomoso South Local Government, Hon. Timothy Oyedokun, applauded Globacom for its unwavering dedication to serving Nigerians and commended the company for its consistent focus on improving lives.
“Since I have known Globacom, it has not changed in its resolve to serve the people of this nation. This shows that the management holds the wellbeing of the people in high esteem,” he said.
Also speaking, Mrs. Olufunke Olaniyi, Secretary of Ogbomoso North Local Government, who represented the Chairman, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, described Glo as a proudly Nigerian brand and urged residents of the community to support the network.
“This network belongs to us, so I want to encourage all sons and daughters of this land to patronize Globacom,” she noted.
