Globacom Sponsors Premiere of RMD’s Blockbuster Movie Radio Voice
Telecommunications giant and leading promoter of Nigeria’s entertainment industry, Globacom, has sponsored the premiere of Radio Voice, a new film produced by veteran actor Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD).
The star-studded movie, which debuted at the prestigious Alliance Française, Mike Adenuga Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos, features an impressive lineup of Nollywood’s finest including Nse Ikpe Etim, Nancy Isime, Deyemi Okanlawon, Damilola Adegbite, and Timini Egbuson.
Radio Voice tells a gripping story of resilience, passion, and transformation. It explores the challenges faced by radio personalities, including cyberbullying and personal struggles, while showcasing their journey toward triumph against the odds.
Speaking at the premiere, RMD described the film as “the triumph of the human spirit over adversity.”
He said, “It's about the lives of people on radio, the challenges they face, cyberbullying and all the other obstacles. It's a story of success against all odds. I don't want to give too much away, but it’s definitely a movie everyone should watch.”
On his decision to step behind the camera, RMD noted, “I've produced before, but this is the first time I’m doing so in this new era. It just felt like the right time.”
The project also enjoys the backing of the Office of the Vice President, as part of efforts to complement the Federal Government’s investment in the Creative Arts and Digital Transformation.
Globacom’s sponsorship of Radio Voice further cements its reputation as Nigeria’s foremost corporate patron of entertainment. Since launching operations in 2003, the brand has consistently supported the creative industry, signing numerous entertainers as brand ambassadors and sponsoring a variety of entertainment platforms such as X Factor, Glo Naija Sings, Battle of the Year, and Dance with Peter. The company has also toured multiple cities with its music and comedy shows, providing a stage for talents to shine.
With Radio Voice, Globacom once again reinforces its commitment to telling authentic Nigerian stories and empowering the entertainment ecosystem.
